From Garage to Galaxy
SpaceWeed started with a simple frustration: why does months of careful cultivation get reduced to unpredictable results in a drying room? In 2015, founder Eric Young began experimenting with freezing and drying techniques in his garage, searching for a way to preserve cannabis exactly as it exists at peak harvest. Years of trial and error led to a breakthrough—a patented process that flash freezes flower and removes moisture without heat, chemicals, or compromise.
Early fans said the texture reminded them of astronaut ice cream. The name stuck. Today, SpaceWeed is the only Flash Frozen Cured cannabis on the market—fresher, smoother, and with twice the volume per weight. What began as a garage experiment now represents a new category of flower.

CannaGenesis is the vision of Eric Young. We are a licensed Washington I502 cannabis processor, but we’re a lot more than that. We use science to revolutionize cannabis. Cannabis defined itself in the era of prohibition, as an element of counter-culture. Those days are gone, but much of what cannabis is and how it’s produced and consumed are still defined by antiquated techniques. There’s no reason that inertia should inhibit cannabis development. We believe that science needs to be the new guiding light. We conduct focus groups, clinical studies and use research to develop new techniques, such as Flash Frozen curing, to redefine what cannabis can do for our clients.
